Pastor Chris is the husband of Jamie and the father to Madyson and Hannah Grace. Chris and his family began serving Kendalls on March 4, 2007. He received a B.A. in History and Religion at Mars Hill College (1997) and the Master of Divinity degree at the M. Christopher White School of Divinity, Gardner-Webb University (2000). Pastor Chris enjoys sports, outdoors, reading, and eating (don't all Baptist preachers?). His passions are his relationship with Jesus Christ, his family, and equipping the church to be disciples and do "disciple things." Anne Watson returned to her home church at Kendalls in January 2004, having served as the Choir Director at Richfield Baptist Church. Anne is assistant principal at South Stanly Middle School. She received her B.S. in Early Childhood Development from Meredith College where she also studied piano. Anne's favorite hymn is "What a Day That Will Be." Anne and her husband Kevin have two children, Madeline and Ross.

Kerry has played the piano at Kendalls since he was 14 years old. Kerry studied piano at Wingate University where he graduated with a B.A. in Music Business. Having written numerous gospel songs, Kerry and his brother, Dale, direct our youth choir and are frequent performers at local functions. Kerry's family includes his wife Ginny and his son Ryan.

Ann Abernathy has been the church organist at Kendalls since 1967. Anne is a graduate of Catawba College, where she received a degree in Music Education. An excellent organist, Ann also teaches piano and organ to local children. Among her prized pupils are Anne Watson and Kerry Burris. Ann's favorite hymn is "Share His Love." In addition to her music career, Ann is a pre-school teacher at a local daycare. She and her husband, Danny, have two children and three grandchildren.

Peggy Turner has long been the treasurer at Kendalls. Peggy's background in finance includes her career at the local Bank of Stanly. She and her husband, Sid, enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren and collecting various antiques.

Christy prepares the weekly Worship Bulletin and Prayer List and the monthly Newsletter that are published at Kendalls. Christy has worked in a variety of positions in the medical field. She and her husband, Jeff, enjoy time with their son, Blake and daugther Natalie.
